I really enjoyed learning about Wordle and Timetoast. Wordle would be a great activity in one of my future Elementary classes when we are going over new topics. I like how you do not have to create an account to gain access to use wordle; however there are a few things that I think are kind of frustrating about the website. I would like it better if you could save your work and you could some how store the information so you would not loose it when you hit go. I also do not like that you have to get the font the way you want it before setting the layout. This makes it harder to personalize your webpage. However, this site would be easy to use in 15 min or less in a classroom activity when you want students to be aware of the most frequent word.
Timetoast seems like a really interesting website that I could definitely use with my Elementary class. I really hope that I have a smart board so that the students can actually come up to the screen and touch a concept. I would probably like this site better if you could incorporate videos with the timeline. I also agree that what comes up in the "popular" sites might not be appropriate for Elementary students. As some one just pointed out in class, you can not go before a certain date either, which would be a problem if you needed to show information prior to that date. I do like that all of your timelines are easily available on the main page once you log in.
